"In life, there are three people: people who make things happen, people who let things happen and people who wonder what happened."

Making the good happen and capturing it

Travel

My travels have taken me to some amazing places. From the jungles, streets and homes of Okinawa, Japan...

...to the rolling hills of Mongolia.

The U.S. Marine Corps has given me opportunities to develop diverse skill sets in photography, videography and writing.

It is important to me to continue to bring the good into the world and to capture those who do so.

Photojournalism

Strength, love and hope are three themes I have found among the people I have met during my time in photojournalism. The indomitable human spirit is the greatest phenomena of all time.

My job has always been getting to know people and telling their stories. Part of who we are is a qualitative picture. In each portrait I do everything I can to carve out a presentation for the world.

Portraiture

In addition to storytelling, I am a painter with a camera.

Cinematography & Screenwriting

There are few more immersive art and communication forms than cinematography. My lifelong passion has been creating narratives.

I will not say that I do not love fiction, nor that there is a right or a wrong. What I will say is that pure fiction does not exist. All concepts and narratives come from real emotion. I use these real emotions with creative treatments to present the truth in a way to which people can relate.

In everything I create, there is truth and creativity. Art and reality are not mutually exclusive and the acknowledgment of both is necessary in creation.
